Sam's mother, Analise, is out of rehab and wants to push her way back into Sam's life. The first part revolves around a Christmas party at Melinda's house. This is essentially a very small collection of Christmas bonus scenes that tie in to the series.In about 30 or so pages, Tijan gives us scenes from two of Sam's Christmases. That being said, if you haven't read the Fallen Crest High series, you probably won't get anything out of this. This quick "novella" is a nice little tidbit if you're looking for a holiday read that won't occupy much of your time.
